Hey there! I recently had the pleasure of running into Mikaila Ulmer, a remarkable young entrepreneur who we featured on our site back in 2016. When she was just 4 years old, Mikaila set up a lemonade stand that quickly evolved into a bonafide enterprise: "Me & The Bees Lemonade". Created using her great grandmother's special flaxseed lemonade recipe, Mikaila's product line gets it name from a key ingredient: honey. As founder and CEO, Mikaila decided to use the power of her brand to educate people about the importance of bees in our ecosystem and donates a portion of her proceeds to bee rescue initiatives. Mikaila is only 14 years old, but she has already built a company that would impress even seasoned executives. Her socially conscious approach to business is also a perfect example of Catalyzation, one of Trend Hunter's 18 Megatrends. Modern consumers want to feel good about their purchasing habits, and this lends a competitive edge to brands that provide benefits to one's health, society, or the environment through their products and services. This week's featured insights highlight some interesting ways that other brands are using Catalyzation to their advantage. Enjoy!
